A suitable ending

Well, it has finally happened - I have now officially left Chesswood! Today was the last day of term and so now it is all over! It felt a bit strange at the end of the day, but I managed to stay composed all day and not cry. Impressive I thought, although I've been moving things out of my classroom for the last 2 weeks and so I guess that has made it easier. I had a beautiful card made by Barbara, which everyone signed - now that did make me cry when I read what people had written! I also look forward to using my digital photo frame and my monopod, which I was given as a leaving present.

It was hard to say goodbye to everyone, knowing that I may never see some of them again. I found it ironic (if that is the right word) that the last people I said goodbye to were Denis, Sue and Wendy - who were the first people I met as they taught me when I went there as a child! It felt as if things had been finished off and finalised properly. A suitable ending!

So....it's goodbye Chesswood Middle School, Worthing...and Escuela Bilingue Siguatepeque here I come!!

Parties!

Having given this address out to everyone I thought I'd better write something on it quickly!

So...this weekend has been a weekend of parties. On Friday, we had the Chesswood end of term party/bbq combined with my leaving party, in my garden. Lots of the staff were able to come and we were so lucky with the weather too, it was a perfect evening. I just found it a really lovely way to be able to remember friends, being able to have the time to talk to people. At school it's so busy, so I appreciated being able to leave with memories of people relaxing and not just being stressed in school! I feel at peace about leaving Chesswood now that I have had a chance to catch up with everybody and relax. I just have to thank Helen and Sue for organising it so excellently! It really was the perfect way to finish my time at Chesswood (even though there is still another week of term with the kids!). I really am very appreciative of it all.
Then today Lynsey and Michelle organised a get together with my friends from church for my 30th birthday, which is on Tuesday! Yet again I was blessed with another lovely, sunny day and a chance to catch up with people before I leave. I am so lucky to have such good friends! It's sad saying goodbye to everyone, but I'm looking forward to new adventures!

Well, hopefully you have been able to see a few photos (sorry there's not one of you there Michelle!). Too many really as I'm just testing it out to see how to put them in, ready for Honduras.

As you can see I can talk for England so this blogging could be rather lengthy!! Please keep in touch!
